Help Delay of desktop icons when opening keyboard

Hello,
On my Epic 4G ever since the 2.2 update it takes sometimes up to 15 seconds for the desktop ICONS to appear. If I flip open the keyboard for example I'm looking at a blank screen, and just the wallpaper showing for 10 to 15 seconds. It Also does it when unlocking or just changing orientation. Does anyone have this problem? I have a stock phone. Model SPH-D700, Ver 2.2.1, Buld Froyo.EC05, Hdw ver D7.

I also noticed this issue a few weeks ago. I had assumed it was due to a bunch of faulty apps someone recently downloaded on my phone, cuz at the same time I started getting all of these "Low internal memory" alert warnings and it seemed like everything on my phone was super sluggish. Ive since uninstalled quite a bit of crap, freed up some memory but still have the icon lag, which is really annoying.
 
I was wondering if anyone else has this problem!
I also removed apps. I removed any that I don't use much, and a few I was suspicious of including lookout antivirus. No help.
I haven't seen any memory problems. Once the ICONs show up the phone is OK as far as speed.
Support recommended doing a reset of the phone but i haven't tried it. I may have to try the reset, but I need to look into what it does. It might wipe out settings, or uninstall apps.
 
Coolecho.... i have the same issue but when you do a reset won't you lose all your current setting and info. It will be like the phone just came our of the box?
 
Yes it was kind of a nightmare. I thought I had all apps/data covered but lost all of my notes in "note everything" app. I even took photographs of all the desktop screens and the installed apps listing, and copies the SD card contents to my Home PC. But now after a couple of weeks of reinstalling and setting up, the screen delay is back! It got better for a while but gradually got worse. It's better a little than it was. Mostly the icons come back in 5 secs, but sometimes it takes up to 15 seconds!
I just talked to sprint support about trying to get the version 2.3 update. They said that this update won't fix the delay problem. They even said that some people don't like the update! Arrggh!
