Delete all contacts

Hello Forum - I am trying to delete all contacts on my phone (Atrix) - Motorolla is saying that the only way to do it is with a master reset (which I can't do because I have a lot of info on the phone). It is very hard for me to believe that master reset it the only way (I can't do it in Gmail - I have 5000+ contacts on my phone and only about 50 show up in Gmail contacts).

I believe you can just go to Contact Storage in menu-settings-applications-manage, and hit clear cache and data

Thanks - I just tried this but my phone doesn't have a clear data option.
