Help Delete APP?

Hi, hope someone can help, SGS running 2.2.1 i downloaded an app from the market then decide to delete it which i did via the market, but when i go into settings manage applications it is still there, so i click on it and then uninstall it tells me uninstall unsuccesful, is the only way to remove it by doing a factory reset.

Which app is it? And did you do a factory reset?



Edit: Have you tried reinstall the app, then delete it in the App menu in stead of market?

I have found the Market delete function to really screw things up. I never use it anymore.

I always delete apps off of the phone itself. The Market will sync eventually... In fact, for me, it seems to sync up within 5 minutes and will show a previously installed app as INSTALL rather than INSTALLED...

Thanks guys, i tried a reinstall but would not uninstall from the phone, so i did a factory reset which worked.

Gutted that you had to FR your phone, but thanks for letting us know... from now on when I uninstall an App, It won't be via the Marketplace!

It would be interesting to know what app it was.

Some apps like the lockscreen widget require admin rights for them to properly work. If you have to delete them you 1st have to revoke the admin rights otherwise the app isnt deleted.

Maybe same was the issue here.

Hi,
you can try by using Titanium Backup (which requires root access). It even allows you to remove apps which are in system folders
