Help Delete Apps Marketplace

Ziani

Android Expert
Hiya....How can I delete Apps that are showing in' All Apps' section in Marketplace website that say they are installed and there not and I do not want them anymore? Thanks :)

If you are browsing from your device there is an X on the top right of the listing in the "All Apps" section. It only appears if you don't have the app installed on any device. I'm not sure if there are other times it doesn't show up, like Google Play Movies, or other system apps or bloatware, but that works for general apps.:)

Thanks but my problem is from the website they are ticked to say they are installed which the are not so I do not have an x to click on. If I click on them it wants to install them and I don't want them all.

I have supposedly deleted them from browsing on my device but they still show up in marketplace as installed :(

Thanks... just looked in marketplace at this and it is showing I have this installed and have never installed it.
Look in your App Drawer to see if it is on the phone, just not on a homepage.
I know what you are saying to "be true lots of times" because the system will show downloads to previous phones under your registered email address and phone number. I don't like this "feature" as it is confusing.

that is why I run AppBrain, it helps to remove non-installed apps from the "Installed List".

I changed phone numbers about a year ago, and the "MyApps list" still insisted that I had old and rejected installs on my phone.

I have now changed my method of downloading apps, I open Play Store on the phone, download it there, then run the app from the Notification Panel which brings up the Install Page and test the app from the "open button" right then and test out the app. If the app is not what I wanted/pure junk, then I can click on the Uninstall Button in that app. That removes it from your MyApps list.

Yes, did check App Drawer and was defo not there. A great tip for downloading Apps in the future, thanks. Will AppBrain remove them from Marketplace?

yes, it does, that is why I use it to sync up MarketPlace (Play Store) with my phone.
