Using stock message app on GB 2.3, I have a partial message saved as a draft that insists on hanging around. Tried long press and discard to no affect. Don't want to delete the msg thread. How do you just delete the draft?
Press the mesg widget, when your threads appear hit "menu" to pull up your "drafts" then hit menu again once your drafts appear, you should see the option to delete.
