Delete files after time period

mby

Newbie
I have used Drive Sync to back up all of my photos from my Nexus 4 to Google Drive. I've set it so it keeps the files locally on my device, too.

I don't need the pictures on my device forever, so is there any app which deletes files after they've been there a certain time? That way everything is on Google Drive, safely backed up, and my phone's storage is clear for new images without me having to manually delete them.

Thanks for any help

Not sure if there is an app like that out there. I can develop and app for you that can do the deleting for you. you would have to setup the folders and the dates you want it to be deleted on. Let me know if you are interested.

You can use Tasker.

Hi there thanks for this. I've purchased Tasker but I am really struggling to use it.

Could you help me out by telling me how I need to do this? I want to make the files in my "Camera" folder delete after 90 days.

Thanks for your help

Setup a profile set as 'day'. Set the date to the 30th of every third month. Then set up the delete directory function.

But won't this delete files that were created on the 30th of the month too? I want the files to be deleted when the reach 30 days old, for example, rather on the 30th of each month.

Thanks
