Android Question

Hi, so I started to download a large app. The phone said I had enough internal memory (barely), but it stopped and said that there was not enough memory. Now my memory is 95% full, and I am assuming that this is because the app is partially downloaded. Any ideas on how to delete this partially downloaded app?
I also cannot download any other apps because my memory is too full, I have everything that can be transferred, transferred to an SD card, and I have deleted other apps in an attempt to make more room. Also, before I tried to download the app, I deleted the cache with link2sd (an app)
Please any help at all would be greatly appreciated, or a phone number that I could call as a last resort.
Thanks so much

The app should be located in the 'Downloads' folder.

There should be an application in the app tray that says 'Downloads', it should be in there and you can probably either select it to delete it or long press.

Where is the app tray? And what does long press mean?
Thanks so much for the reply

App tray = app drawer, the little icon (probably a grid of squares of something similar) in your dock that brings up a list of all apps installed.

"Long press" is just what it sounds like: touch an icon (in this case a file) and keep your finger pressed on it, rather than just touching briefly. It's the android equivalent of a right click on a (right-handed) mouse, and will bring up a list of options if there are any, in this case hopefully including "delete".

If you can't find a Downloads app, use any file manager and navigate to the Downloads folder on the phone. If your phone doesn't have a file manager, ES File Explorer is free in the Play Store.

Good luck :)

Thanks Hadron!

The only issue I have with this is the fact that since the phone's storage is almost full this might not even download, so I kind of didn't mention it.

If you have any more trouble Rachelrin, just let us know :)

Ah, yes. Should have thought of that!

Rachel, have you tried deleting cache again, in case it's in there? Also since you mention Link2SD does this mean the phone is rooted (since I know that app requires root for its main function)? If so you may have some other options available to you.

I don't know how to delete the cache again because I deleted the link2sd app in an attempt to make more space (which did nothing). I do not know what rooted means, or if my phone is rooted.
I appreciate you trying to help
