How to delete pictures from gallery

Depends on the phone and version of Android but it's usually either long press then tap the delete (trash can) icon or select the picture then Menu .. Delete.

If you want to delete a lot of pictures, you may find it easier to get a file manager from the Play Store. I use a free one called File Manager that shows tiny thumbnails which helps you identify the pictures you want to delete.
