Delete pre-loaded images?

Quick question...

I have AndExplorer on my HTC ECO. Using that app, I found that I have a lot of perloaded wallpapers that I don't need and several images that are a part of an app called Footprints that I do not use.

So my question is...Is it safe to delete the images on my phone that I have no use for such as the the wallpaper images I know that I will never use? Or will deleting the images make my phone unstable?
I really hope to be able to delete the unused images to free up more internal storage space on my phone.

You cannot delete anything that came with the phone stock, those items are part of the system partition, you need to be rooted to be able to access those files.

sitlet ....Thank you for the quick reply, however, I have not 'Rooted' my phone. I simply have an app (that I downloaded from the market) called 'AndExplorer' that allows me to view all of the files on my phone. Honestly, the app (I believe) will allow me to delete the Wallpaper files, since they are simply image files, off of my phone if I chose to do so.

I was only wondering, if I did use the app to delete the unused Wallpaper image files, if it would mess-up my phone.

Please let me know if you can. Thanks.

Thank you so much sitlet for your response. Sorry for the delay in my response, but I have been very busy. Anyways, thanks again!
