Delete recipients from group text reply/reply to sender and select others

I upgraded to the Droid Maxx on Aug. 20. I had been using the Droid Razr which allowed me to modify the recipients when responding to a group text. This allowed me to select/deselect the recipients when responding to a group text message. I don't see that option (modify recipients) on the Droid Maxx. Messaging app version 4.2.2-7. Tried long-press, tried options menu. Nothing.
