Root Delete stock launcher is using another?

I've seen this type of comment a few times lately and it's got me wondering if I should take the time to delete the stock launcher. I'm using LauncherPro, FYI.

From Chevy:
"If you DO use another launcher, use my tools to DELETE the stock Launcher2 (it will back up to SD). Otherwise, it will still take resources even though you don't run it."

That being said, how do I delete the stock launcher on CM RC3? Root Explorer?

I am using launcher pro on a stock (but rooted) Froyo build. I just went into /system/app/ and removed the built in launcher (and a few other apps). Been working fine for 3+ weeks.

use root explorer and go to /system/app and change it to read-write

in terminal type:

su
rm /system/app/<insert launcher name here> found in /system/app
pm uninstall <package name> the package name is found in manage applications>sort all after removing it

Third option, install Titanium Backup. It can delete system apps as well.
