My Galaxy Tab 2 tablet is holding data storage of 2.8G of deleted applications....How do I recover that sorage space....The apps are gone...

In future when you uninstall apps, do it from
menu
settings
manage apps and click on clear cache, then clear data, then uninstall.
For the apps you already have uninstalled, the easiest way is to reinstall, then do the procedure above.
Uninstalling from Playstore leaves the cache and data on the phone, which I suspect is the problem you have.
