I accidentally deleted some photos I had downloaded and am trying to get them back. I found a video on youtube but when I tried it said something about I had to root my phone but I'm afraid it would delete everything else I have. I know I have a Samsung but that's about all I know. I'm not big on phones... there is a tiny little card in the back but I've never done anything with that. Any ideas?

I don't know of any way to undelete deleted files in a phone without rooting it - unless the files were on the external SD card. (Then you put the card into a computer and use a file recovery program in the computer to get the files back.)

Rooting isn't difficult if done properly, and you won't lose any files - but it will void your warranty. Then you use an app like Disk Digger (free on the Play store) to recover the deleted pictures. You should also be aware that any files that were overwritten while they were deleted can't be gotten back - the original pictures no longer exist.

This is why you should always have at least 2 backups of all important files.
