Help Deleting all files on internal sd

I want to delete all the files on the internal sd card so that my phone will be like straight from the factory. Are the system files on my phone (GT-I9000) protected from deletion even though it is rooted and would my my phone still boot up?

Your easiest method would be a Factory Reset, this will delete everything that has been put on the phone, but will not delete any system files.

Once you have done this you will have a phone exactly as it originally came out of the box.
