Deleting email from HTC Thunderbolt but keeping on your computer

Need some help. I synched my HTC Thunderbolt with my outlook email. Now when I delete email off the cell it also deletes from my computer. How can set to delete from the Thunderbolt but remain in my inbox on the computer?

The best fool-proof way is to create a new folder in Outlook and dump the emails you're wanting to keep into that folder.

The whole idea of "syncing" is you're synchronizing the Outlook inbox. So if you don't want to sync it then other than outright not syncing the phone and outlook, you can do the above. You could try to set up your outlook to push sync items to your phone but then when you delete your phone emails, your outlook will push those deleted items upon re-synching.

I use touchdown and it has an option you can use to choose if you want to delete emails from the server or just locally when you delete things.

Thank you. My previous phone was a BB and you could set it so the computer was the priority for email and you could then delete from cell but they would remain on computer. Is this not so with Android?

Is touchdown an app?

I thought the default email client on the phone did that already under "Settings" "Send/Receive" and "Sync deleted items" checkbox?

Errr..."Delete mail on server" checkbox....
