Should I delete email if I have gmail? Space is an issue.

Unless you are rooted, you cannot delete email. It is a system app and the best you can hope to do is disable it, and that you can only do if you are running android 4.0+
If you are rooted, deleting it is not going to free up any space, system apps are installed in a different partition than your main storage and unless you re-partition your device (Which can be very dangerous) you will not be able to use that extra space.
