deleting gmail

i set up the same gmail account on the gmail app and on the htc widget account and now im getting duplicates of the same email cause i have the account on both of them. is there a way to delete my account gmail account and keep the htc widget account? thanks!

Yeah, I wanted to do this but could was not able to create my account that I have set up with Gmail to my HTC Mail as well. Will try again as you have been able to do this.

To stop Gmail notifications go into Gmail hit menu-settings then scroll to the bottom and uncheck Email notifications. Hope this helps.
