Help Deleting multiple email question

[Kembo2466]

I just got my mesmerize a couple of days ago. I have 4000 emails showing up and it is so time consuming to try to delete them one by one by checking them and deleting. Is there a way to delete multiple emails easily. I switched from a Blackberry and it was so easy, just hold the shift, scroll thru and delete. Any helpful advise will be welcomed.

First, just curios as to why you need to delete them?
You can just leave them there in case you need something for future reference.
New emails will always show up on top.

But if you must delete, try doing it from your computer.

Edit: I'm assuming you're talking about gmail?

If you're using the stock email app, there is a checkbox to the left of each message. check all the ones you want to delete, then menu button-->delete.
