Deleting numbers from my contact list

Hello Android Users,

I have an HTC Wildfire and still haven't figured out how to delete numbers from my contact list.

tried all the usual searches - nothing came up. .. Is it that obvious ?

Welcome to Android Forums.

Do you want to delete just the numbers or the entire Contact? Personally I sync my contacts with gmail and find it much easier to edit through the web interface than try to do it on the phone.
