deleting text messages

hi just joining this group hoping it will help me out with my htc hero...keep having problems with it not opening up my text messages and saying its full. want to know how to clear the memory because its hard to delete messages also! help!
 
Welcome to Android Forums!

You might want to ask your question over in the HTC Hero section( Sprint version). The stock texting app is a little different from the one that comes with HTC phones running SenseUI.
