Deleting threads in handcent

when i try to delete a threads, handcent crashes. the reason i want to delete threads is because i believe my conversations of upwards 2000 messages are slowing down the handcent performance and therefore my phone
anyone else have this problem or know a way to delete all that garbage?

there is no other way. it takes ages for me to delete messages and then asks me to force close or wait. always click wait...it takes time but they will get deleted.

You can either delete the whole thread or use batch mode within a thread and delete some of the messages.
