how can i disable the default message app on my HTC incredible?
It keeps playing the default notification sound. i change it, and it stil playes it. I just want to use handsent SMS. Is is possible to do that?

So im a little confused. Do you want to change the notification sound for the stock messaging app? Or for handcent? Either way, both can be done by hitting menu-settings in each app, then scroll to Notification sound. If you just want to use Handcent and not the stock app, you need to go to the stock app and disable notifications.

I believe Handcent surfs on top of the default SMS app. So don't delete it. If you don't want duplicate notifications, launch the Message app and then:

Menu > Settings > Uncheck "Received notification", "Sent Notification" and "Failure Notification"

Once you enable the Handcent notification, you won't get duplicate notifications.
