Hey all, been looking around for a deodexed stock rom for a rooted S4 but i'm not finding much in these forums. Anyone know of a good stock deodexed rom for lolly pop?

Ok cool thanks, it should work. I haven't had any problems using sprint roms with boost phones in the past. I'm also looking into deodexing the stock rom myself but everything i'm finding is in a different language, very vague, or not for my specific devise. I'm just trying to my phone setup to run Xposed framework but I didn't know how much of a pain it would be running lollipop on a samsung devise. I've been able to run it without any issues on all my previous phones and I don't really want to downgrade back to kit kat to make it work.

Think I read about a APN fix that you flash in recovery for the S3 that works for S4 also if you need it.

Oh yeah, kind of looking into all options before I actually do anything. I wont be able to try anything till the weekend anyway but doing my homework in the mean time. Thanks for the input:)

Just started playing around with Xposed and installed it last night on my i337 S4. Had it for a week on my Moto XPE. So far I'm liking it.

I could try installing Xposed on my L720 S4 but there is a big chance it will get stuck in a boot loop, that's my worry. I've dealt with that before on my Moto G and I know how to get out of that but i'm trying not to have to revert back to Kit Kat.

Got lucky and found a good guide on XDA for the i337. Installation went well using Flashfire. Had to flash odexed 5.0 first. Got as far as installing Wanam then went to bed. AT&T locked bootloader usually doesn't make things easy.

Ah ok, not sure if I could use the same but everyone keeps telling me with mine that I need to deodex my stock rom to make Xposed work on Lollipop

I'm new to Xposed but from what I have read it only works with deodexed. Usually stock because most custom Roms already have tweaks built in.

Luck would have it that there was two versions of rooted 5.0 for the i337 by Muniz_ri, odexed and deodexed so all I had to do was flash and install.

You think that would work for mine? I was gonna check out the rom you posted a link for if I didn't wind up deodexing my stock rom.

Not sure. I do know that you have to pick the right framework zip to install based on your device processor. What worked for i337 may not be same for L720.

Yeah that's what I figured. I just found an automated deodexer on XDA that I might check out in a few minutes. The things we do to customize our devices lol. Just really glad i've been a member of this site for so long, everyone has always been real helpful through out the years:)

Skimmed through first 5 pages and over my head. My computer skills are very lacking.
Usually when I find a ROM I use and like I try to send a donation for the hard work and skill it took to make it. Try to buy paid version of apps for same reason.
In your position with the L720, if you have the firmware to flash back to stock if something goes wrong, I would try the Sprint deodexed. Unless you just want the challenge. Good project and learning experience and I'm sure you could get your questions answered if problems by OP in link at XDA.

Yeah i'm gonna try flashing the rom first and see how it goes, sure it will be fine just need to prep things before hand as you mentioned. Thanks for your support!

So running the ROM you provided(Jfalls63) and everything seems good so going to flash the Xposed framework now and cross my fingures:)

Well the ROM works fine but the phone gets stuck on the samsung screen after flashing Xposed framework so maybe I didn't wait long enough? I also didn't install the apk for Xposed either so maybe I need to do that first?

Did you get the correct Xposed framework for your CPU? On mine after flash it stayed on AT&T boot screen for about 5 min then went to "Android is Upgrading" and went through all the apps before it settled down and I could install the apk.

Yeah pretty sure I got the right file, grabbed an older version so i'm going to try that and wait for it. Might not have waited long enough, for me I waited more than 15 minutes so I don't know. Going to try an older version.
