Help Deodexed, what?

So, simply,

I want to run Xposed on my phone. It currently is flashed with Lollipop. But I am constantly told that stock Xposed won't work and bootloop, rendering it effectively bricked.

But then some googling helped me find note about a version of Xposed that can run on Lollipop Touchwiz, which applies to my Note 3, which seems to be my only real choice to run Lollipop at all.

Problem is, they explicitly mention it only works on deodexed roms.

To this day, even though this isn't my first rooted phone, I still have no idea what the *expletive* that means, or how I can tell what's what. Does samsung provide (de)odexed roms? Or how could I find a build that works?

I have the International, SM-N900 version. Since literally nobody wants to make an Android 5.0 (or newer) for this phone, the samsung one seems to be my only choice. And I've heard too many horror stories about bricking to even dare attempt downgrading back to a 4.4.2 version.

So does samsung provide deodexed versions or what?

In short, I miss Xposed, a lot. But I am also aware that downgrading is almost always a guaranteed brick scenario.

So then how do I get a deodexed lollipop so I can actually use Xposed again? this is seriously driving me nuts, how it's like everyone intentionally ignores this phone.

Head over to XDA and find a stock based deodexed custom ROM. I recommend flashing the latest v5.0.2 official ROM, rooting it and then flashing a custom deodexed ROM based on the official v5.0.2 ROM then going from there.

I can't help by doing exactly that above any more, my Note 3 is having a happy life twenty miles away while my S6 edge is unrooted at the moment. The damn banking, utility and media apps that I use and love have long since stopped root being hidden from them. :(

Some might consider it petty, but I wouldn't do business with a company whose app wants to whine and moan about being rooted, either. At least the app for my bank doesn't care about Root status. I hope you find a fix for that. :o

A "break" rather than a fix. The thing is with root that it is an exploit into your device.

Actually my personal current account (checking account to my American friends) has a useful app that doesn't care if I'm rooted or not, but my C/card and utility companies, and Netflix do throw wobblies.

Either my google-fu is failing me, or I keep being redirected to the wrong place.

Going on xda I can't find ANYTHING regarding the SM-N900 specifically. And the only thing similar is "note 3 exynos".

The only Samsung ROM even offered there is still odexed. The maker will not provide a deodexed version. http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-5-0-lolisfullstock-samsung-features-t3176849

I know Ideally I would love to see a 5.1 Android based ROM for this phone, but that might be asking a lot. At this point, at least 5.* with a working Xposed will satisfy me.
