Root Deodexing and Upgrading to 340

I was wondering if I could deodex now with the stock OTA 2.2 and install the 928Droid theme and have it carry over to the OTA update, once I get it. Is this possible? Or should I wait until I get 340 from VZW?

I have the 928droid theme, de-odexed, and am thinking it will be wiped out with the update.

if you do the official OTA it will clear that out. i would wait until some roms are built on the new update then flash to that.
