Designating folders for saving

I have looked at all of my options and cannot find what I am looking for. I have just put a mini sd card in my phone and want to setup a folder for each app on the sd card - one for photos, one for downloads, mp3's, etc. and have the program save to that folder by default. Where can I find these options? I have 4.1

Usually, if you open the app and change the default location for saving files to SD card, the app will create the folder it needs on your SD card for you.

If you want your tones to work, make folders called ringtones, notifications, alarms. You could put these folders in another folder called media on your sdcard if you like. The tones will then show up on the list when changing alerts for each.
