Desire 600 crashes when in pocket

greegory

Lurker
I am having a strange and annoying problem with my HTC Desire 600 double sim.
The device is not new, I "inherited" it from my son.
The problem is the following:
The phone crashes spontaneously. This always happens (with a couple of exceptions) after I put it in my pocket.
Basically as soon as I put it in my pocket it usually crashes in a few minutes.
It may either crash or reboot. When it crashes, I cannot start it again unless I take the battery out and then back in,
and then it proposes to send an error to HTC.

The first thing that comes to mind is the faulty volume "pocket mode", but switching it off didn't help.
I bought a plastic cover in case the reason was mechanical but this didn't help either.

Another mysterious observation (maybe not very reliable?): when the phone is in pocket but earphones are plugged in and I listen to music,
the phone does not crash (at least this didn't occur yet).

Please help!
Thank you in advance
Gregory
