Help Desire Camera problem?

Anyone has this camera problem when you take photos, after that the camera screen goes black? And it just hangs there.
 
I have just had this problem today.

My Desire has already been away for a new motherboard following the over heating rebooting fault.

Now the camera will just not open, black screen, only resolved by pressing the home button :(
 
It's sometimes happens when taking a 2nd.pic too fast. Reboot and or clear data via manage applications should fix until next time
 
Thanks, tried rebooting, tried removing battery while switched on, tried removing data via manage apps, the 'force stop' was available, so I tried that too

I called HTC and they suggested a hard factory reset, which I am going to try once my backup has completed.

If that doesn't work they said it will have to go in for repair. I hope someone else has an alternative answer!!
