Help Desire Constant Restarting with Custom ROMs

Hi Guys,

I've been messing around with custom ROMs for the first time on my Desire, and now seem to have the issue that any of the custom ROMs I try (so far CyanogenMod and MIUI, + installing Oxygen as I type) keep just displaying the splash screen over and over.

I initially installed MIUI via ROM Manager, and have been installing via clockworkmod since then.

I've got the latest version of ClockworkMod (cant remember the version number), have s-off via AlphaRev, and have the Desire with an S-LCD screen. (original H-Boot being 0.93, though now AlphaRev)

Any ideas what's going on?

Edit: Nope, Oxygen doesn't work, and I now seem to be getting an MD5 error when I try to restore my HTC backup! D:

Edit2: I originally rooted using unrevoked, quite a while back

Are you doing a factory reset before flashing the ROM? This is what will happen if you do not - the settings from one ROM are usually not compatible with a different one, so you need to wipe before the new ROM will boot.

If you haven't already, visit the root subforum and read the FAQs in the "all things root" sticky post (the red link in my sig), especially the rooting FAQ, which covers things like this.

Also note the sticky thread "Do not use ROM Manager".
