Help Desire HD ain't connecting to computer!

Alright so my HTC Desire HD won't let connect to my computer via USB.

It used to work, altho nowadays I don't get up the menu where I am to choose wheter I want to only recharge, Internet Passage, Sync files or also use the phone as a disk.

I have tried using settings like turn on/off "Only recharge in computer" and other things but nothing seems to work! I have also tried connecting the phone to computer via Bluetooth. That worked, but I cant seem to understand how to send files from computer to phone, so I'd rather like to get the USB-connection work again.

What can I do?

That says that the phone isn't seeing the computer connecting to it. Have you changed cables? Some cables have only 2 wires - they charge the phone, but they don't transfer data to and from it.

Have you changed the USB pport on the computer? MAybe the port you were using went bad.

Have you tried connecting it to someone else's computer (who has the same phone, and using the same cable)? Maybe your phone's microoUSB port went bad.

If you just want to transfer files, try Wifi File Transfer (free at the Play store).

Thanks for all of those tips! I will try testing them all and hopefully one work, or I will get back here!

I sometimes have a problem where a USB port stops working with a particular lead for no apparent reason. usually just changing the port sorts it out.
No idea why, but it usually works
