Help Desire HD Notifaction Bar oddity????

Has anyone else been having this strange issue on their Desire HD (or other handset)

I have attached a short vid showing what happens with my notifcation bar on google.co.uk MOBILE version within my standard browser.

I am running a Desire HD with Android 2.3.3 on Orange in the UK

As you can see the notification bar keeps appearing and then disappearing again. When this is happening it is impossible to enter a URL into the address bar if you pull it down to go to another website as the notification bar pops up and cancels out anything you are typing in. Eventually this action will stop for a while but on returning to this page it starts happening again.

It only appears to do it on the google main screen in MOBILE setting. Classic Mode is unnaffected.

Is this just some sort of glitch down to the sizing of the page perhaps or some other piece of the source code affecting the way the page is percieved by my browser?

Ive not found any other pages that make my notification bar do this. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar?

Never seen that before, very weird.

The google main page can be a tad strange, there was a bug a few months ago whereby you'd type something in to the main search box and rather than the letters you were typing appearing, you'd get dots as if you were entering a password. It fixed itself of its own accord so I wonder if this will do the same?

It appears to have sorted itself. I did reset the browser to its default values and did some other things such as altering the text encoding to unicode and then back to latin and one of these things has stopped it from doing this peculiar thing with the notification bar.

Bizarre???! :-S
