Desire HD Youtube App

Hey guys. i'm new to android and everything. Just got myself a HTC Desire HD and wondering if there is anyway to get the youtube app to play fullscreen? seems pretty stupid that the videos dont play full screen. wasting the awesome bigscreen. anyone?

have you tried double tapping the video on screen? that should force it into full screen

I just tried double tapping but it doesnt do anything.

Just turning the phone landscape does it for me...
