Help Desire Problems

Hi,
I'm having an issue with the SD card in Desire.
The phone no longer see's the SD card.
When have a look in menu\settings\SD & phone storage, the mount and format SD Card options are greyed out.
I've removed the card and can access it on my PC.
I brought an 8GB Class4 card, but the phone won't recognise it.
I was thinking of doing a Factory Reset, but have a load of text messages that i don't know how to back up because the damn phone won't recognize the SD card...!

Can anyone point me in the right direction please ?

I can't help you, I'm afraid.

Try renaming the thread to something more descriptive. That might attract the attention of the big guns.

Edit: you might find an app that will allow you back up to the cloud.

hey the same thing happened to me ... i still dnt have a solution ..

if u have a spare card
just get a spare card copy data from your old sd card except photos and music. video ... on your new card using PC .. insert the new card in your desire and see if its working..

Same problem - Phone sent back to HTC & sd module was replaced.
On return signal reception was v poor in known good areas so back it went for a new main board, on return phone won't turn on!!! So back a third time With the promise of a full rebuild so let's see what happens.
Phone just over a year old.
