Desire vs Galaxy S - Quake II Demo

Saw this yesterday.
The SGS certainly performs well...
This is one of the few reasons I might choose the SGS over the Desire.
 
i bought smgs bec. of this video beside others, and i dont regret it :D

There is a fix for that and a new firmware:

And look at her second video (around minute 2:00) where she says after the new firmware its fast so that problem is fixed.

Quick question -is there any way to actually play the Quake 2 demo on the SGS because I can't get it to work? I can get on the menu but can't start a game. Is it because a keyboard is needed?
 
I believe that there is a project to port q2 to android, called Quake2Android (developers have never been the most imaginative :p) and it hasn't been updated since Feb. I'd guess the demos took a lot of debugging to make work, and aren't something you could do easily.

I wouldn't take this video stuff too seriously. I mean its cool and all, but I'd look at more practical things to choose which way to go. The Galaxy has some great hardware for sure, but this is just novelty stuff.
