Help Desire WiFi error

Anybody know the solution to the Wifi Error? Mine is a bog standard Desire, from Virgin Mobile, nothing special done to it, Virgin Router/Modem at home, running Android 2.2

Earlier this week the Wifi stopped working and when I try to connect it, it just says error.

Can anyone help?

What else does it say apart from error

WHen I go to Menu - Settings - Wireless & Networks underneath Wi-Fi it just says error. When I try to connect it goes grey with Turning on... underneath and then 10-20 seconds later just goes back to error.

Bizarrely my Wi-Fi has decided to come back on. I read somewhere that installing We-Fi worked for some people so I tried that but it didn't work at the time. Was having a look around my phone and came across... Menu - Settings - Security and then I hit Clear Storage. After that I tried the We-Fi again and low and behold, Wi-Fi came on again! Don't know why this worked but once again I am happy with my Desire

but this option is disable in my desire.anything else how i can solve my wifi error ?
