Desk dock mode

When I first got my MyTouch 4G, I plugged in the charge and somehow the screen switched to the desk dock mode automatically... not always but it did a few times... I didn't know how to get it to do that other than physically go in the app drawer and run the desk dock app... does it have a short cut key or something? anyone knows?

DO you have a white one? I have heard the white one and maybe the red ones have this issue? Basically if you touch the 3 little gold things on the left side of your mytouch where the dock thing is supposed to go and press on it, it will activate the dock mode as if it detects it is placed into the dock. Apparently the black ones dont do this but im not 100%. Mines black and doesnt do this. Theres a youtube vid on this problem.

Mine is the red one... and I thought that was it does but now no matter how much I touch on the dock thingy on the side, it doesn't do it anymore
