does anyone know if the desktop charges from the uk version S2 work with the sprint version. is the usb charge port at the same location and the battery?

The Epic Touch wouldn't fit. The European SII has a 4.3" screen, The Epic Touch has a 4.5"

The GS2 is a smaller phone, so it is doubtful that the E4GT would fit into the desktop cradle.

Keep in mind that when Sprint gets the dock online or in-store, most people qualify for the Sprint Premier 25% discount, when combined with another accessory purchase. That means the discounted price of the dock would be $37.50 at Sprint.

The retail on the car dock is $40, so the discounted Premier price would be $30.
