Would there be anyway to get a Desktop of the month type of contest, where the users will submit there desktop and then others vote on which on is the best? winner could get something like a title or icon near their name showing "contest winner" or something along those lines. and then have like an ad banner or something with a small blip of their desktop and then their username nextt to it.
