Root Desperate need for a restore

i soft bricked my phone when i tried installing beats audio on my phone. i cant return phone and im in need of restore.please of you have a way to restore my phone let me know thank you
 
No.....not do you have a backup, but since you have to be rooted to install beats audio i think.....do you still have the stock recovery installed, or have you installed CWM? let me know...if you have cwm installed, i think i might be able to help you.......just let me know....

i am rooted and can get to recovery menu thru adb but when i reboot it hangs on boost screen...btw DO NOT INSTALL BEATS lol
 
ok........on your recovery screen is there a picture of a little android guy...or is it just a list of options. What i am trying to figure out is if you have clockwork mod installed bc if you do, and can make you an update zip to recover this.... and is this a boost phone? If you need to install cwm there is a post in this forum on how to install it......for the force zte....
 
unzip and take recovery.img and put it on the root of your sdcard

adb shell

open a terminal
type : adb shell
hit enter
type: dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery
hit enter
when prompt returns type: reboot recovery
hit enter

terminal emulator

open terminal
type: su
hit enter
allow root to terminal
type: dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery
hit enter
when prompt returns type: reboot recovery
hit enter

a factory reset won't take your root away..... im creating the update.zip right now, that will reinstall the stock system files....including root....but you would need to install cwm first........maybe you can hop over to the touch reovery page, and ask someone in there on help on that?

i couldnt just install the zip from factory menu it has apply update from external storage option
 
Terminal commands wont work in ADB. Such as using "SU" in ADB is not needed.
Only on Terminal Emulator on your phone will it work. Download Terminal Emulator from Market/Google Play.
 
What do you mean terminal commands won't work in adb.....that's what adb is......its a remote terminal for your phone....!

I used the same method when I installed bad EGL drivers. But I had CWM installed.

i appreciate everything you have done to help me get this fixed i have some good news also zte is gonna replace my device since it is under warranty.i bought phone on 4 12-13 and already killed it lol..this may be off topic but i have a galaxy rush that has cracked screen do you know anyone on here that could fix it for me i can pay for shipping and repair please let me know..i will be using it as a backup next time i crash my phone
