Detroit Area Service

Newbie
I work in Farmington Hills and have been very dissappointed with the 4g speeds that I have been getting since I signed up for the service. I have never gotten more than 1 mb service using the Huawei Premia. I am wondering if this is what I should be expecting or should I be getting faster speeds than this? I am willing to buy a new phone, but would like to keep it around $150. Is there a phone that is better suited for my service area? Should I go with the older Metro Phones, a BYOD device, or one of the new phones like the L9 or F3?

You may want to do the byod, but finding the phone you want for the price you want maybe the trick.

I have never used a Premia nor have I been in your area so I dont know the speeds on metro's LTE, assuming your getting LTE do you know any other users with metro you can compare it to?

Ah metro Detroit in the actual city I get on average 3mbps max near 8. Now in the burbs you might want to check the coverage map 1st

The coverage map is showing that I should have great LTE coverage. I usually have 4 bars of 4g coverage, but it will randoming switch to 1G coverage throughout the day (without moving my phone). I am getting the phone replaced under warranty since I am still under my 30 day exchange policy, but i would still like to get a different phone. Just saw the Samsung Infuse on eBay for $123. It shows that it is capable of GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and HSDPA 850/1900/2100. Would this work well with Metro?
