Root Dev Needed... 2.1 Running on the Behold 2

I've been looking around for a Nexus One to replace my BH2 recently because even though I've flashed one of your roms and rooted, the fact that we're still stuck on 1.6 is very frustrating to say the least. However I really don't have the means to buy another phone, as I'm still paying off the BH2 installment plan anyway. When I read your post announcing 2.1 is possible on the BH2 I literally said out loud, "Eff you Samsung ha haha!!"

Again, I commend your efforts, sir. Take your time. You're the dev. This is done on your terms.
 
Is the ext4 kernel/recovery thing your about to release later on faster than the ext2 kernel that you made which runs almost 796 MHz? I hope you release the OC kernel thing you took off because im jealous of the super fast speeds.
 
So while eugene works on his stuff I was wondering..........


was the port of froyo cynagen mod meaning we can use applications like the cyanogen mod updater to update or does it need to be re ported?
 
Your answers will come in time lol. It might not be that easy, but we'll never know until Eugene/ bh_man clarifies what can and cannot be done. :-P
 
Cyanogenmod will get updated when and if the Dev updates it. CM 6.1 is Final, so you would get the final build and an update would be pointless therefore the answer is no.
 
I think that code is only for 1.5 and the recent 1.6. Samsung hasn't gone that far nor will they ever. It would require to build a new source .
 
Even if the kernel is 1.5 or 1.5, can't the drivers from that source code be ported to 2.2, then build the 2.2 kernel from another phone with these drivers?
 
i believe that was what bh_man was working on in the 2.2.1 rom, noticing that i7500 was the model of the phone from the photo used on his website. as for when we all really know, only time will tell...but i would assume that was what he was doing.
 
Yes...you are a little late to the party there guy. Eugene was patching that new source for a couple weeks when his hard drive crashed and he lost a lot of his work. His new drive is being shipped. Hopefully work will continue soon
 
Hi everyone who love Android and Behold2, I want to make a custom ROM for Behold2 (replace all stock Android ListView with bouncing ListView like HTC Sene phone and some cool utilities that I've learned from Google code ). All that modify code are done and now I want to push it on Behold2.

Anyone please tell me how to modify or change to get Kernel_MSM72XX+GAOSP_Beta2 can run on Behold2. Thank you for your advice!
 
Hey guys we should give him a try maybe he is a dev and can help us with a few stuff when others cant.
