If calls and 3G work, I say release it... I'm running 2.2 on my G1 with sound, wifi, GPS, BT, all broken, and is still my everyday ROM

so bh_man are you still getting mytouch slide even if you get 2.1 working on behold 2?

i hope it works so samsung can be made out of a fool

Don't stop From Selling it... 2.1 will never work 100% correctly.. I'm doing this out of spite... Once I get it Fast enough & smooth enough, I'm Going to post a Youutube Video & Ask why Samsung thinks it not able to Run 2.1 / 2.2 ? Fact of the matter is it will never been an everyday Rom to use, still Missing Much need parts..

This is more of, Hey Samsung.. Stop lying to everyone type of deal at this Point..
 
i agree with bh_man...........i sold my behold 2 on craigslist, it wasn't worth keeping this device anymore because it seems like it was made for nothing. i do thank bh_man for making a custom 1.6 rom for it which made it better, but that fact of not having 2.1/2 while other devices will have makes you feel outdated, and i don't like being outdated.

i would go ahead and continue to sell the behold 2 if i were you as bh_man said 2.1 will not fully work on behold 2.

and yeah i hope he does get it running so he can show samsung via youtube that 2.1 CAN run on the behold 2. they will be so shamed when thousands of views and comments towards it would be like, lol everyone cursing samsung ahahahaha and i will be amongst those who are. SCREW SAMSUNG!!!!.................but i will continue to use their digital cameras lol :P

The issue ultimately lies with their featurephone skin touchwiz. If this phone were like the Moment we would be set for a long time.

Hats off to BH_MAN for sticking it to the... man? Your work has turned from awesome to awesome-er in short order. We're Sammy's customers first, revenue streams second.

I agree on the selling deal. Although even at $215 & unlocked I am having 0 hits on mine from Craigslist in both NYC and Central NJ :(. Probably will give it as a hand-me-down to my mother.

This is starting to seem like the LHC, i have a feeling if 2.1 is every ported there will be a rip in the time space continuum and we will get engulfed in a black hole

is there any chance that a port would work with that, granted some dev would be needed, but would it be worth the effort?
 
no offense but tmo ah ship me another for free in 2 days so what do i have to lose, maybe i can complain and get a mytouch slide for freesince i been with them for 6yrs

well if this is true then samsux is right. or do you think samsux could make it work 100%.
 
I think much-needed parts in this context means drivers from Samsung. The only way they'd be unable to do it themselves is if there's some kind of weird licensing issue which is possible, but I think it's unlikely. Samsung just wants to focus on developing and selling new phones because there's no money in software updates for stuff you've already sold.
 
In response to Samsung claiming that the Behold II can't run 2.x, are there any phones of equal stats or less powerful that are able to run 2.x?
