i was browsing menus as you do and noticed do not keep activities under dev options, will this reduce battery loss, is it worth trying or will it just kill everything like alarms etc?

It kills everything as soon as you exit.

I would strongly suggest against it

cheers just wondered, but expected that answer.., but what is the best way to kill the background apps as i notice unless i hold the home button down and kill them they are awake in the background?

If you want to kill processes as soon as you close them, select that option.

You shouldn't be killing background processes. Leave them be. Android handles it.

Having an app being open in memory doesn't eat battery
