My old g3 had developer options enabled, is it possible to have similar on my g5 plus?

It should be the same steps as other Moto phones.

Try: Settings, About Phone, then tap the Build number 7-ish times. You should get a message the Developer Option is enabled.

Yes you can still access it The steps for enabling Developer options is the same as previous phones:

1. Go to your phones Settings menu.
2. Tap About Phone.
3. Repeatedly tap the build number until it says you are a developer.
4. The developer option will now be in your phones Settings menu.

That's an Android standard since they hid the menu. It is even the same on Android Wear. Cheers to the great members that helped out.
