device lock ?

[liverpool-luke]

hi there, new to android and could do with a program

the homesurf 7 from binatone has a few button's around the system, this device I purchased from my daughter to watch film's on, this she can do quite well but being 2 she has a habit of touching button's and even the screen, could anyone develop / point me in the direction of a program that would lock the entire device unless a unlock sequence is pressed (like top left, bottom right, bottom left, top right or even press 5 times quick in 1 place)

not sure the difficulties involved as I don't do software programming, however I think this would be a very useful app to many, with thanks

sorry I think I may not have put my idea across correctly, I want to start the media player on my android to watch a film them lock the system so no button's work and pressing the screen without the desired pattern won't do anything, that way I can hand the table to my daughter for her to watch films without turning it off

There is a program on the market called Simple Movies which has a child lock option on it.... however the feedback isn't very good on it... so it probably needs to be improved before being a decent application. However it may service your needs.
