Help device not recognised as being connected

hi all,

after connecting my handset to my PC, it seems now Kies and Vista dont see my phone.

My phone is rooted and has debugging mode ON (tried with off too) with voodoo lag fix applied and running superuser.

Any help is muchly appreciated.

Is the phone being recognized in any mode? Try different modes (Media Player, Mass storage..), and try different USB ports on your computer.

You need to disable debugging mode if you want to use KIEs. As for getting it to recognise after that, try shutting down KIEs down first. Connect your phone and choose KIEs mode. Wait for the SD cards to show up in My Computer, and then launch KIEs.

try installing new version (2.0.0.11011_16_5) of kies here Support for Galaxy S SAMSUNG released January 6, 2011.

Thanks Snapper, that helped fix it.

maybe I was premature. It will work is Mass Storage mode, but I switch to Kies, and using 2.0 I get no where. Even previous versions of Kies were no good.

I even reinstallled windows in the simple hope it might work, with no results.
