Help Device not supported

Hi all,

I've recently made the switch from iphone 4 to Samsung galaxy s3 and have to say I am very impressed with android. I have noticed tho that a lot of apps, particularly games that require a bit of processing power say my device is not supported, am I doing something wrong as I was under the impression the galaxy s3 would be great for games. I've found that game loft do a club where you can download some games from there but I can't seem to find any ea games supported. My iphone 4 played everything without issue and I'm pretty sure this phone should blow it away. If I am doing something wrong and anyone out there can help I'd really appreciate it.

It's because app developers can restrict which devices can download their games, not because you're doing something wrong. The app developers simply haven't updated their games to show that they're compatible with the S3, being a new device. Or they are currently testing it to make sure it is compatible with the S3 before letting the public download the game and finding bugs, crashes, etc.

Every app has a developer email link that you can contact them with. You can ask if it is being updated to be able to run on the Galaxy S3. Considering the large volume that is expected, I would bet that all of the top end apps will be made to work with the GS3, but it may take a little time.
 
I tried to download madden 12, fifa 2012 and scrabble all by ea, and they all say not compatable.:(
 
However when i first got the sgs3 it was on XXLE8 firmware and i was able to download and play fifa 12 and dead space. I updated OTA to XXLF2 and was still able to play the games with no problems. The problem came when i decided to factory reset the phone (on XXLF2). after resetting the phone (on XXLF2) i came to redownload games from play store and they dont appear in there using a browser i went to play store and it said 'your device is not compatible with this version'.

Is there any point in going back to XXLE8 then downloading them before i update phone ???? Or have the developers simply added gs3 to the not supported list
