Device reboots while configuring it for Google play

Hello All,
I am using one of my android tablet and I want to configure it for google play but on clicking Settings/Account & Sync/ Add Account the device is getting rebooted. Please help me to resolve this issue..

What tablet are you using specifically? And you may just want to try a factory reset and see if that solves the problem.
