Devour not synching contacts properly!!!

Hello! Apparently I'm not smart enough to figure out how to make a post. So I'm hoping this will work. I have a question and hope you can help. When my Motorola Devour syncs with "my contacts" from my gmail, it does not sync ALL of "my contacts". There does not appear to be any rhyme or reason to those which it selects. How do I get it to sync all of "my contacts."

Note: If you're phone is like mine, you may notice that when you go to your contact list, you can select which group you'd like to see. I used to have it on "All Contacts" but that is just too many to go through. So I changed it to show only "google" contacts. The missing contacts there, miraculously show up when I change it back to "all contacts." However, that's very inconvenient. Please help.

Welcome to the Android Forums!

From the sound of it I'm thinking that some of your contacts are created as local (to the phone) contacts rather than Google contacts. The only option I'm aware of to correct this is to export your contacts into a file, delete them from the phone and then import them into your Gmail account.

Thanks Martimus. That worked. Only instead of deleting them from my phone, I deleted them from my gmail after I exported them. I re-imported them, and everything seems to be synced now. Well, almost everything, only some pictures are showing up, but it's still much improvement!!!
