DF-DFERH-01 Issue/Bug

Hi. I have a problem with Play Store version 8.5.39.W-all(0) (PR) 178322352. Certain apps will not open in search and give me the error message Error while retrieving information from server (DF-DFERH-01). It's only searching for certain apps it does this. I've tried all steps suggested in Google, such as clearing cache, deleting and re-adding Google account etc. The only one that worked was setting Play Store back to it's factory default version, but two days later it updated itself and stopped working again. My wife has the same version and hers works fine. Is it my phone or is it a Google issue? At a loss of what to do.

Sounds like one of the apps you always use and your wife doesn't is causing a problem. After the next time you Factory Reset try installing apps a few at a time. Just the ones you really need.

For example I search for the Facebook app...it'll find it, yet if of search for messenger, I'll get error. Also if I spell photo correctly, I'll get the error, but if I search for pgoto, it'll find photo apps...its mad!!

You mentioned clearing cache but try doing 'Clear data' on the Google Play Store app instead.
Also, try doing 'Clear cache' on the Google Play Services app.
